Vote for the “or Bust” candidate

In 2016, the Revolt Against Plutocracy committee made the executive decision to shift from writing in Senator Sanders to voting for the Green Party candidate, Dr. Jill Stein. This time, we want Bernie or Bust voters to tell RAP which third party candidate we should support. The candidates themselves have made this easy. Most third party candidates are eliminated by the fact of not being progressive. This includes candidates from the Unity Party, the Birthday Party, the Constitution Party, the Libertarian Party and the Alliance Party. Neither Jerome Segal of the Bread and Roses Party or Gloria La Riva of the Party for Socialism and Liberation would reply to our requests for interviews. but both are progressive and will be included in our poll below–including writing in Bernie Sanders. In most states, write-in votes are not counted unless the candidate registers as a write-in candidate. La Riva will be on the ballot with access to at least 50 electoral votes and Segal will on the ballot with access to less than 50 electoral votes.

Until after the poll below was closed, only one progressive candidate was willing to conduct an interview with us this year–Howie Hawkins, the Green Party nominee for President. Because we agree with the Green Party’s domestic agenda, in this interview, RAP committee member Allen Howell focused on concerns of foreign policy to address criticisms circulating around the Internet. Beneath this interview with Mr. Hawkins is the ballot form that allows other choices besides Hawkins, La Riva, Segal and Sanders.

Jerome Segal answered questions about his candidacy, but not before the poll below timed-out and closed. We apologize to Mr. Segal and any would-have supporters.
